When choosing a clinic for crooked nose correction, the shortcut is to check whether they can specifically explain how they will close the "open roof" (open roof) that develops between the nasal bones after removal. Hump removal is a surgery that temporarily opens the structure of the central dorsum of the nose, and the design of closure and support determines the risk of long-term step-off and deformity.
The step deformity of a hooked nose itself can be reduced to a level that is visually confirmed by imaging through surgery. However, whether "the overall line of the nasal bridge improves" is a separate issue, and reports indicate that with preservation techniques, while the step decreases, the overall line often does not change significantly.
Aquiline nose correction surgery is divided into three approaches: filing down the dorsal hump with a rasp, combining osteotomy (bone cutting), and the conservative technique of lowering the entire dorsum while preserving its shape. Which approach is suitable depends largely on the size of the dorsal hump, the ratio of bone to cartilage, and how you want to address the nasal bridge width.
