VOV Lift

VOV Lift's thread is manufactured with the cogs (barbs) and thread integrated through 'press-molding technology.' Because the cog strength is high, the lift effect can be made longer-lasting than with conventional threads. The ends of the cogs are processed with rounded edges, designed to reduce pain during insertion while lifting firmly. In addition, VOV Lift's thread is made of a material called PCL (polycaprolactone). PCL is a safe material. As a medical device that has obtained CE mark certification and FDA approval, it has been widely used around the world for decades. It is absorbed in about 2 years.

PCL is 100% broken down and absorbed within the body by hydrolysis, leaves no pigment accumulation, and is a material harmless to the body. As a material used in many medical devices that have obtained CE mark certification and FDA approval, it has been used around the world for a long time, and its safety has been proven. In addition, because it breaks down more slowly than PDO (polydioxanone) and PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid), its efficacy lasts longer. During its breakdown process, it produces new collagen, so it is also effective for the skin's elasticity and regeneration.

Press-molding technology

VOV Lift's PCL molded thread has uniform thickness and can be fixed evenly, whereas ordinary cutting threads have weak spots and are prone to breaking, which is a drawback. Compared to PDO and PLLA, PCL has the physical property of being soft and flexible. Therefore, although PCL thread is widely used for monofilament threads (threads without cogs), it had not been used for lifting threads until now. However, VOV Lift has been able to maximize the fixation strength of PCL thread through a special patented technology called 'press-molding technology.'

Long duration

PDO thread is the most widely used thread in the world and usually lasts 6 months from the procedure. However, VOV Lift's PCL thread lasts 24 months or more. This not only increases patient satisfaction but also reduces patient complaints regarding the duration of the lift effect.

Effective lifting

Even though VOV Lift is made of soft, flexible PCL, it maximizes tensile strength through the unique manufacturing method of press-molding technology. The lowest tensile strength is in the ultra-fine thread of the 21G needle, but even so the tensile strength exceeds 8N. It is generally considered that a tensile strength exceeding 1N is sufficient to achieve effective lifting.
