Features

MINT Lift's thread is made of a component absorbable by the body (PDO polydioxanone) that is also used in surgery, and it is a highly safe thread approved even by the U.S. FDA (an administrative agency equivalent to Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare). It remains in the body for about 6 months, after which it is gradually absorbed and disappears, so it has the characteristic of not remaining in the body as a foreign object. Threads generally used for lifting have fuzzy, barb-like protrusions, and they lift sagging by catching the barbs on the tissue inside the skin. Conventional threads created barbs by cutting notches into the thread. Such conventional threads, called cutting threads, created barbs by cutting notches into the thread, but they had the drawback of lacking strength and durability, such as the thread's thickness becoming thin and the barbs bending easily. In contrast, MINT Lift does not cut notches but adopts a structure as if attaching the barbs.

Treatment details

Treatment time: About 30-40 minutes
Anesthesia: Local anesthesia + laughing gas or intravenous anesthesia
Face washing, bathing & makeup: Face washing & shower: possible from the next day *Please only rinse the affected area with warm water. Bathing: possible after the swelling has largely subsided Makeup: possible from the next day
Side effects & downtime: ・A sensation of tightness may occur but usually disappears in about a week. ・Bruising and swelling usually settle in 2-3 days, but full recovery may take about a week. ・Unevenness may occur in some areas; this is distortion from lifting the tissue and settles in about 2 weeks to 1 month. ・Depending on the thread type, the thread insertion point may dent strongly like a dimple, but it usually disappears in about a week. ・You may feel that your cheeks are taut and your mouth is hard to open, but it becomes natural in about 2 weeks. ・During anesthesia, bruising may occur from the injection needle. ・You may feel the effect is less than expected, or the corrective effect is weak.
Precautions: ・For about 2 weeks after surgery, please avoid vigorous exercise and Indiba (radiofrequency thermotherapy). ・For up to 1 month after surgery, please try not to open your mouth wide.
