Does hair remain in the follicle even after it falls out?
The shedding of visible hair is not the same as the loss of transplanted hair follicles. Normally, new hair begins to regenerate from the hair follicle around two to three months after surgery[4]The success or failure of the graft cannot be determined based on appearance alone in the short term.
When will hair start growing back?
Hair growth becomes more noticeable around three to four months after surgery, and changes are even more apparent six months later.[1]Since the hair growth cycle differs for each hair follicle, hair does not all grow in at the same length at once.
